Monte Rosso Vineyard

Discover Monte Rosso Vineyard with Mountain Red Wines

High in the Mayacamas Mountains, a thousand feet above the Sonoma Valley, basks the Monte Rosso Vineyard. Named for its iron-rich, red volcanic soils, Monte Rosso has produced grapes of unmistakable character for more than a century — and after meticulous hand-harvesting, fermenting in our small-lot winery and artful blending in the cellar, Mountain Red, some of our most coveted bottles, are produced.

Distinguishing characteristics of dark fruit, Monte Rosso spice, balanced acidity and notes of iron define the wines from this vineyard along with impeccable craftsmanship. The vintage dictates the varietal composition of the wine, with earlier vintages of the Mountain Red (2015 and 2016) featuring Petite Sirah, Zinfandel and a touch of Syrah and other varietals. In more recent vintages, this wine has evolved into more of a Southern Rhone-style blend of Syrah and Grenache.

For a limited time, enjoy a taste of Monte Rosso with three- or six-pack verticals of our Mountain Red wines. Club Members receive Club savings off the retail price. Don’t wait – offer ends July 21.
